| THEATRE NIGHT | April 29, 2010 | For the second year CCAMRE has
held a Theatre Evening at the Village Playhouse Theatre in the Bloor West
Village. The Village Players are an excellent theatre group performing numerous plays each season. CCAMRE supporters were entertained with a romantic comedy called “Key For Two”. This event is a very casual and low key and although our turn out was small this year the performance was excellent and enjoyed by all in attendance. |
| GRAND LATIN EVENING DINNER/DANCE | February 5, 2010 | CCAMRE had the pleasure of presenting its annual major fundraiser, “A Grand Latin Evening” in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the organization. We were honoured with the attendance of the illustrious Mr. George De La Roche, Guatemala Ambassador in Ottawa and Mr. Oscar Palma, Honorary Consul of Guatemala. We received congratulatory letters from Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion, Mr. Rob Burtons Mayor of Oakville, and Mr. Kevin Flynn, Oakville MPP. We welcomed 400 guests at Le Treport Banquet Hall where they enjoyed a wonderful dinner, were entertained by guest violinist Roberto Jerez, Dancers from Arthur Murray Dance Schools and danced to the music of Havana Express. CCAMRE would like to thank all business owners and individuals who made generous donations towards our first Silent Auction. A colossal gratitude to all members and friends of CCAMRE who helped achieve this “Grand” success. |
